… Burn half as long. Sadly baby Casey, the semi hand rear passed away two Mondays ago at 8 days old. He had contracted a vicious respiratory infection and didn’t make the day out. Sadly this is very common in baby Guinea pigs who do not have adequate cholostrum intake within the first few days. The vet also felt, that as his birth weight was so tiny he was premature and was only born as his siblings were so much larger.

We at the pawsey piggy troupe will miss baby Casey, he had a lot of personality, he was brave and loved a cuddle and a chat. Up until the end his appetite was that of such bigger pig and the day before his passing he found that he had a healthy apetite for melon. A perfect food for a summer baby.
